The project is implemented in the municipality of Jaro, Leyte. This is part of the government’s intervention to help the people of the municipality recover from the aftermath of typhoon Yolanda. The intervention identified is the production and processing of cacao beans, including the addition of value-adding to cacao products. The project aims to improve the economic condition of the municipality of Jaro, Leyte, through S&T Interventions on the development of cacao and horticulture industries as an alternative to the heavily damaged coconut industry of the town.
