A model developed for estimating soil moisture deficit in annual crops. This cost-efficient soil moisture monitoring system is a fabrication of Arduino-based soil moisture meter and gypsum blocks. The fabricated units will be installed in selected SARAI sites for the monitoring of soil water deficit.
