The protocol is a guide on how to conduct coral assessment from site selection to photo transect method to data processing. This is necessary to have a standardized method so that assessment data generated are comparable. Further, considering the need to regularly update data on the country’s 6 marine bioregions or its representative reef area, assessment teams have to be trained across the country.
