With the aim to develop a nanobiopesticide using metabolite/s from plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) against fusarium wilt on high-value crops, the Nanobiotechnology Laboratory, National Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (BIOTECH), University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) implemented a project for the production of banana, tomato, and cucumber. Results showed a comparable effect of the nanobiopesticide compared to that of the commercial biopesticide used as positive control on the experiments conducted. Nanoencapsulated ethanol extract (NETE) was observed to have eradicative properties against Foc TR1 when used for Kluai namwa and latundan. At the same time, it has protective activity against Foc TR 4 as observed in lakatan.
