This project focuses on enhancing the food value chain for Tilapia in Region 3. Second to milkfish, tilapia is the most cultured freshwater fish in the country. Based on the 2019 Philippine Statistics Office (PSO) data, fresh tilapia production in the Philippines totaled 1,344,382.36 MT with Central Luzon contributing 644,113.05 MT or 47.91% to the total national production.
